- Long ago the women when carrying their eggs to the market used to carry them in cans and buckets. As time went by, I invented another way for carrying them. I took four rods and put the ends of them in to the ground into a square. I began to weave the rods until the basket was a foot high. Then I drew them across and started to weave the rods to make the bottom. When I had the bottom finished I drew the hand basket from the ground and placed it on the bottom until I got a handle across the centre of the basket. When the handle was complete I had to make a lid. I got a lo*(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
