    Oidhche Samhna chuireann na daoine fataí ag taobh na teineadh le h-aigaid na daoine maite a dul isteach le iad ithe. Nuair a bhíonn said ag deanamh maistreadh cuireann siad im ar an mballa le h-agaid na sídeóga. Deanann siad cácaí agus cuireann siad fainní agus airgead ionntú. An duine a geobhas an fánne béadh sé posta sul a mbéidh an bliadhain amuigh agus an duine a geobas an airgead béidh sé saidhbhir.
