  1. Hail! Virginia- Mother, daughter of thy son, Where beauty nigh exhausted all God's power.
    Who seeing thee, by human love was won,
    So that he willed to hasten on the hour, When veiling that splendous, which thro' heaven doth shine

    And confining that immensity, which fills all space he might become a child, and thus recline within thy maiden-mother's sweet embrace!
    As Portress now, to ope the heavenly gate for all who cherish and revere thy name, who, laurel - crowned, with Calvary's wealth ornate ,
    Return from life, a life within to claim, Ah! kindly deign to let me one day see, The Eternal Light, who hid his light in thee.
