  1. No 1 At Main Street, Castlerea, down in the garden (at the back of Finnegan's House) under a tree, sitting on a stone, a School Master, named Dan Harkin, taught school.
    No 2. Ar 'Arm' Castlerea, there was a Hedge School, taught by Harry Young.
    3. Sir William Wild, The great eye Specialist, lived in a thatched house (opposite the Court House) in Castlerea.
    4 The National Bank, Castlerea, is built on the site of a thatched house in which lived a lady, Mrs Bell.
    5 There was, in Olden times, a Pattern held in the Village of "Emla" Castlerea.
