  1. There were fairies at the Green Hill long ago. There is a fairy ring on the top of it still I have often seen it. One night as a man by the name of McDonnal was coming home playing a flute after twelve o clock he was passing the green hill and the fairies were dancing. they saw him and they brought him away with them. They told him that they would give him the power to play any tune he wished but never to play on the Green hill again.
