    Long ago butter and milk were supposed to be stolen

    Long ago butter and milk were supposed to be stolen from the owners by certain people who had the power of doing so. The following song was written about a woman who used to come in the form of a hare and suck or milk cows at night.
    There's a hare in Killomod
    I hear people say
    She lies in her form
    And her locks they are grey
    In that habitation sure
    She lives most secure
    And Brown says he will haunt her
    With hounds and horse too.
