    was a big "lift" of rushes in the hole and he used to grasp the rushes to help him to rise. The neighbours seeing this cut the tuft of rushes in the roots. He came one day and lay down and when he attempted to rise he held the rushes and the rushes came in his hands and he fell back into the hole.

  2. Around Pat Hunt's house in Cartron there is some gold and hidden treasure. Pat Hunt's father and mother John and Mrs Hunt dreamt three nights in succession that if they dug in a certain place they would get gold. They were to see three different visions, the first was to be a man about ten feet in height, the second a large donkey, and the third a huge pig. They went out in the middle of the third night to dig for the gold. They had a hole dug and the big man came and disappeared. They kept digging and the big ass came and disappeared. So they did not wait for the third vision but went home. When
