  1. The Care of our Farm Animals
    Cows, Pigs, Horses, Sheep, Goats and asses are the farm animals in this district.
    Some cows have names such as "Daisy", "White Polly" Etc. When farmers here call cows or calves they say "Suck", "Suck".
    The houses for animals in this discrict as usually built of stone & slated & with a [?] floor or perhaps paved. Cows are usually tied by the neck with a chain.
    Calls for Hens & Chickens :- "Chuck" "Chuck" Etc.
    Call for Horses :- "Phu" "Phu" Etc.
    Call for Pig:- "Hurah, "Hurah" Etc.
    Call for Goats:- "Gin" "Gin" Etc.
    Call for Turkeys:- "Bwee" "Bwee" Etc.
    When people are selling eggs they put the sign of the cross over them with a burned stick.
