  1. Long ago people had not as good a sighs to indicate the weather as the people today.
    These are some of them-
    If you see a nest hanging out a log at night it is the sign of good weather. If the cat sits with her back to the fire it is the sign of a storm. If a dog's guts roar it is the sign of wet weather. If a cat coughs it is the sign of rain.
    If midges fly low it is the sign of rain. When the smoke blows down the chimney it is the sign of rain. When you see stars shooting at night it is the sign of rain. When you see a ring far away from the moon it is the sign of a storm far away. When cranes fly low it is the sign of rain.
    When couleurs go up the country south, it is the sign of rain. If ducks quack loudly it is the sign of they are calling up rain. When
