Swithin's day is dry it is said that you will have forty days of dry weather.
When you see the wild geese going to the west it is the sign of snow. If you see a robin coming to the door or window it is the sign of snow. If Saint Brigid's day is dry the snow will come before May day,
When the frogs spawn at the edge of the pond or bog it is the sign of a bad summer but if they spawn in the middle of them it is the sign of dry summer.
If Candlemas day is bright and clear it brings two winters in one year.
