    came to Scarvey Bridge crossing the river Erne about 4 miles from Arva the filly leaped across the river. "Speak or no speak" said Finnegan "that was a good leap for a two year old." Next morning Finnegan found himself lying in a field near the river. From then until the day of his death he was blind in one eye.
