    Which banished him, far far away,
    from the hills of Magheracloone.
    The winter it is passed and gone
    The summer is drawing night.
    And with it too, my heart, has grown

    Where is the hand which used to
    pluck the flowers in full bloom,
    And waved them through the silkin
    curls of the maid of Magheracloone.
    He never will return again to those
    bright sylvan shades
    He never will return again to the one his heart betrayed.
