    One summer's day when on my way,
    through lovely Magheracloone.
    That day I bet I'll ne'er forget it been the ninth of June.
    Each view I got just on this spot, to
    you I will lay down,
    for scenes more gay mark what I say
    you will travel the world around.
    Tis up the bray of Toneneave, as I did kindly go.
    The valleys wide on every side their
    beauties seemed to show
    the thrushes and the blackbirds,
    and linnets joined in tune.
    Were like a band of music grand
    in lovely Magheracloone
