  2. An old man named Terry Tate who lives near Pepper's Fort told me this story. One day he and some other men were making a cart-track through the fort. The work went on well until 4 o Clock. Then they were mysteriously stoned out of the fort. As no one was in sight they think it was the fairies who did it.
