  2. The local fairs are held in Clones and Cootehill and the fairs are always held in towns. Buyers transacted business at farmers houses and cross road. None of the fairs of the country have been discontinued. There is no local tradition of fairs being held on the hillside. There is a shilling a cart of toll paid on carts in Clones and this is given to the Urban Council. When an animal is sold luck money is given and this
