  1. The Milling-Industries.
    In by-gone days there were several industries carried on in and around Clogheen. Flour bran, pollard, and Indian meal were manufactured from the raw materials.
    Wheat, and Indian corn were manufactured in the mills at Coolville, Clashleigh, Flemingstown, and Clogheen. Oaten-meal was also made at those mills.
    The weaving of cloth in those mills at Mountanglesby and Coolville manufactured rough tweeds, homespuns, and flannels, from wool bought in the locality. The wool was carded, clean
