  1. In my locality there are two cemeteries. One of them is over half a mile from our house. The other, called Kilkeevin, is over a mile from us, and it is about a mile from Castlerea on the north-west side of the town.
    The one near me has not been used for the past seven or eight years. There are the ruins of a church near it, and it is almost square. It is fairly level, and there are some small trees in it, but there are no monuments or crosses to be seen. Children were the last who were buried in it.
    Kilkeevin is the parish graveyard and it is still in use. There are many trees in it and it is round in shape. There are some tombs in it. On some of these the writing is illegible.
