    The scenery is picturesque. The River Erne flows through it and there are two small lakes in it.
    The farmers cultivate potatoes, oats, rye, and vegetables such as cabbage, turnips, onions and carrots parsley, parsnips, peas and beans and rhubarb. We also cultivate fruit - red and black currants, gooseberries apples and plums. Some of the farmers cultivate a little wheat, which they get ground in the Belturbet mill. They rear cattle. horses, pigs, and fowl. Some of them keep seven cows and each farmer keeps a horse
