  1. Once there was a man and he was going through a wood. He saw a little man and thinking it was a Leipreachan, he went towards him and asked him where he had the gold hidden. the little man told him to go home and get a spade to dig for the gold and when he would return he would see a red ribbon on the tree under which the gold was hidden.
    The man went home for the spade and when he returned the little man was gone and there was a ribbon on every tree.
