    There are many old cures in this locality.

    There are many old cures in this locality. In olden times before there were any doctors these cures were used.
    If a piece of bacon is rubbed to a wart and then buried the wart will die when the bacon dies.
    The mumps are cured by putting the donkey's winkers on the sufferer and leading him round the pig-sty three times.
    Michael Fitzpatrick, Lisnamane has the cure of the sprain. He says prayers over the sprained joint.
    If a person received a cut he poured paraffan oil on it.
    The earache was cured
