    had wool, and they used to wash it and dry it and then get it carded at the carding mills.
    Then, they used to take it home, and spin it with their spinning wheels, then they used to send the thread to the weaver to be woven. When it is used to be woven they used to take it home and wash the oil out of it. Then they used to be sent to the dye works to be dyed and they used to make dresses of it.
    The weavers long ago used to be kept very busy, because when one used to give them thread to make flannel, they used to have it about four months, before it would be finished. Women had another
