    A summer's sun was sinking fast on the hills of swee Bunnoe
    The varied song-birds' thrilling notes rang out from each hedgerow
    As I sauntered on through youthful haunts and paths beloved of yore.
    Till I stood beneath the Cross Divine and entered the Church door
    II
    Such a lovely sight as met my gaze I have seldom seen before
    As the glorious rays of the setting sun on the tabernacle door
    The image of his Sacred Heart seemed to flame as it had done
