  2. This evening, the 9th June '38, I had a great treat from the Wireless. A boy, from the very next house to mine, broadcasted a mouth-organ selection. I never heard such lovely music. He played Irish airs, principally. It was the best mouth-organ playing I ever heard.
His name is Dick McMahon. He is about twenty years of age and is a servant-boy with a priest up in Ballivor, in County Meath.
He broadcasted several times times before but was never so good as tonight.
You would imagine it was a piano-accordian - it was so loud. Some things he played made me want to dance.
