  1. A person, or even an animal, born on Whit Sunday is supposed to be unlucky. They are called "Cingcíse".
    If such a person injured another, even by accident, and even if only slightly, it would end badly - the sore would fester and take very long to heal. It might even cause death.
    The bite of a "Cingcíse" animal is supposed to be very serious - almost always ending in death.
    Some old folks say that if the person or child was placed under a sod after birth that they would not cause such harm to others.
