    has to pass a fort. One night, on passing it, he heard music and then signing, and he stood. Then, he heard a ball being kicked. They called him by his name, and told him to kick the ball, so he did. At that, he got a kick and was lifted from the ground. However, he (was) kicked and kicked till he did not know how he got home. So he went to bed and nearly died; he was not able to get up for a fortnight after all he went through.

  2. Not very many years ago, a young boy from Mullagh was going on a visit to his friends. They did not live far from the village and on coming home, at St. Killlian's well, it was between one and two o'clock, and old man passed the well and come out on the road
