    Above is a sketch of an earlier form of headstone belonging to the Henry family.
    In John G is used instead of J. The abbreviation for and is made as shown - somewhat like present - day form. Henry's shown in possessive. It is the length of a grave nearer the entrance than the others and is the same kind of stone. It could easily be carried to its present position.
