Ar an leathanach seo

  1. There are a number of forts in this locality. I live very near two, one in Pollereagh and another in Rathcravan. There is about half a mile distance between them.
    The fort in Pollereagh is a very large one. It is made earth as there are not many stones to be seen near it. It is about thirty feet high all round and there is an entrance of about twelve feet. The interior is very picturesque and circular in shape. The outer edge is covered with bushes.
    These forts are supposed to be built by the Danes and it is counted very unlucky to interfere with them. The farm on which this fort is, changed ownerships some years ago. The new owner started to level the the fort and improve the land. Just at that time his wife broke her leg and several other misfortunes happened to him. It is even unlucky to cut bushes that are in them. It is remarked that these forts
