    Its towering these o'erhung
While gazing on these lovely scenes
    Sweet sylvan Cornadrung
It was often by the close of day
    I roamed by Gowna's side.
    Or stand upon Lady's Road
And gazed both far and wide
O'er bog and moor and gorgeus plains
    To which fond memories clung.
No more I'll see these lovely scenes
    Sweet sylvan Cornadrung
Farewell to scenes of children's days,
    Farewell to comrades gay
    May freedom's sunshine soon
    Illuminate you with its ray.
Soon may my wish be realised
    To which fond memories clung.
On earth their's not another spot
    Like sylvan Cornadrung
