Corrigan's Fort in the townland of Oakwood is a small fort surrounded by whins and bushes. The fort is divided into little oblongs and in the middle of each oblong there is a large boulder. One day as a man was cutting whins in it there came a gust of wind and it lifted dust and whins thorns and struck the man in the face. It blinded him and it was only after an hour or so that he could see anything.
