  1. Shrove Tuesday is generally in February. On that day anyone who would not know the Irish Customs would be sent to a house for a sieve and the people of that house would say it was in the next house and so on until the person would get tired of going from house to house and would come back to his own house and say there was no such a thing as sieve in any house.
    Pancake Tuesday is a very happy day.
    If you don't give us holidays
    we'll all run away
