  1. The Landlord
A man called Mr Valentine was Landlord of Mucklagh and the last Landlord was The O' Mahoney of Kerry. They were good men. The O Mahoney sold it to the Irish Land Commission. There were only two tenants, my Grandfather and a Mr Foley bought out their land from the Commissioners. The O Mahoney kept the other part of Mucklagh for himself and at his death it passed on to his son. He then sold it to the Forestry Department who (nom) now have it planted.
