    About a hundred years ago it is believed that an old man lived in a townland called 'Glenphilipine'.

    About a hundred years ago it is believed that an old man lived in a townsland called Glenphilipine. This man was know by the name Murtagh the Coiner. He was a bachelor. One day he was crossing a ditch with a harrow on his back and he fell. While he was lying on the ground says he "Here I am goin' to die without knowing the good of a woman". He got better and it is said that he was married three times after.
