    Your bring us wandering Exiles cheer across the dreary wave
    To honour your departed chief you brave the ocean gale
    That we tonight should give our mite to free old Avondale

    Beside the Avon's winding stream Parnell first drew breath
    Twas there sought in vain for rest just previous to his death.
    Deserted by his earth wide friends through feeble meek and frail
    We cant forget his labours and free old Avondale.
