  1. Sunday 28th August was a very eventful day in the Glen of Imall. The celebration was held in honour of Michael Dwyer a brave outlow who fought in 1798
    People came from all parts of Ireland to take part in the parade from Coolmoney Camp to Dwyer's cottage a distance of about two miles and a half by road
    About a hundred or more people left the town of Dunlavin on that day and the most of those people carried pikes.
    Kevin Barry's brother led the parade on a white horse and carried Michael Dwyer's blunderbus.
    When the parade reached Dernamuck. Many people were on a stage and made speeches about Michael Dwyer and his comrades and they mentioned some story about the heroic deeds which those brave men performed.
