    they arrived home the boots were polished and stuffed with rags and left up until the following Sunday.
    A funny story is told about a certain young fellow who was after getting a new pair of boots. He went to Mass as usual and wore his boots for the first time in his life.
    When he returned home and took off his boots, when he had them clean and put up.
    He went out to help his father, when he was running across the yard he struck his big toe against a stone and split it across.
    When he went in his mother dressed it for him and he was very sad. After a while when the pain eased down he said, "Thank God" I had not my boots on
