    one cow, one pig, thirty hens, one dog, and one cat. The cows name is "Bess".
    She is called "Bess" because that was her name before we got her. She is very quite and a very good milch cow she gives one bucket and a can full after calving. She is so quite that she would let the dog lie beside
    her at night, but she would horn a strange dog that would come near her. She
