    if the wind blows from the north it is a sign that the weather will be hard and frosty.
    When the sun sets in a ball of red + golden clouds it is a sure sign of damp weather. If the sun gets very hot + then gets very cool again it is a of heavy thunder showers. When the sun rises in a ring of black clouds tinted with gold it is a sign of a showery day.
    The bigger the circle around the moon the nearer the storm. When the moon rises out of dark clouds it is a sure sign that the next day will be wet + gloomy. If the moon rises red it is a sign that the morrow will be find and dry.
    When the moon goes to bed it is a sign of rain and dreary weather.
