  1. The children of the district go round their farm in their bare-feet in summer. When they are spreading turf, or making hay. The boys mostly go in their bare-feet. The folk of this district are wearing boots as long as we can remember.
    We throw the water that the feet are washed in on shrubs, or flowers.
    A brother of Mr Aurther Sutton, fortview, Robert used to make shoes and boots for the people locally. He took a room in Miss Doyles of Roundwood. He is dead.
    Mr James Murphy then took up the work for a couple of years, and he also died.
