    1) "A dock will cure the sting of a nettle. You must say the following words:-
    'Dock, dock, if you be stout
    Take the sting of the nettle out.' (General)

    1). "The dew where sheep lay is supposed to be for curing the measles. Gather it in the morning + drink it but the person who has the measles must gather it himself ( Thos. Keogh)
    2). "Witches long ago used to boil frogs to cure the measles" (Thos Keogh Ballyshane).
    3). "Cold tea is a good thing for bad eye sight or for sore eyes. Put it in a dish + put your eyes down open in it" (Ths. Keogh).
    4). "Goose grease is good for rheumatism, stiff joints etc." (General). ( or fresh bulls)
    5). "Carry a boiled potato in your pocket
