    Teach-ir ( t slender ) (tóchar) A small bridge across a stream - usually constructed by the farmer himself

    The Bawns ( bán) Place name - three houses together
    Cáubeen ( cáibín ) - an old hat
    Thráneen ( Tráithnín ) - a blade of grass
    Scollop ( scolb ) - Used in thatching
    Anama tlu ( tlugh) tongs ? anama ( In ainm a'tlú - perhaps )
    Báin-een ( báinín )
    Minnie gour ( gaibhirín ruadh ) - Snipe
    Collop ( Colpa )
    Gorsoon ( garseún ) - a chap
    Kash-éer-uct - Bad grass
    Male cow - Cow without horns, also " mealy" cow or goat
    Núdeo Nádeo - Insignificant person ( no backbone )
