Where as they could go into Banagher and eat and drink all they wanted if they turned Protestants. They often made a food called Flummery. Flummery was made by putting "seeds" that was got at the mill. This was put to steep in water with a little oat-meal until it (sour) got sour. Then a strainer of straw was made and the substance was strained into a vessel. The sour (stance) substance was boiled and it was drank with sugar if they had any.
