    There is a local legend connected with the name: A great battle was fought in North Moytura a couple of hundred years before the time of Christ. The defeated army retired to this district with their wounded. they built water tanks, filled them with water, and plucked the herbs from this ground, and steeped them in the water. Having done this they bathed their wounded
