    The Feast of St Brigid is kept on the 2nd of February. The people get straw and rushes to make crosses on St Brigid's Eve. Those crosses are made in honour of St Brigid. The youngest child of the family gets the rushes in the bog and brings them home and put them on the kitchen table and then each member of the family makes a share of crosses. Then they leave them aside to be blessed on All Saints Day. Saint Brigid was a very holy and pious nun and she lived a life of prayer.
