- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)4 On the road leading form the Cornafurnish to Boher there is a hollow called "The Captain's Hollow.
Long ago there lived in Castletown a man called Captain Armstrong.
After his death people said that he drove a carriage without horses up and down the road where this hollow it. That is the reason why this place got this particular name.
5 There is a field situated midway between Parkaree and Boher.
Long ago a landlord owned this field and when he retired he divided it between seven families.
Each one got an equal share. The landlord would not allow anything to be sown in it except oats.
The first crop was to get half of it. Ever since it is called the Oat Field.- Bailitheoir
