People tell many stories about the Trooper's mound. One very bright moonlight night a lady was cycling into the town from Tubber, and the night was so bright and still that she got down of her bicycle. when she came to the Troopers mound she heard a light step behind her but she did not mind it. Suddenly a man walked up behind her. He was wearing a riding breeches, tall hat, and high collar up to his neck. He walked on for a while with her and then disappeared.
