Long ago the people used to eat two meals a day. They had breakfast and supper.
They used to eat porridge for their breakfast and potatoes for their supper. The porridge was made of oat meal. They had no tea. It was a great treat for them at Christmas to get tea. to drink. They drank buttermilk. They had no cups so they used to drink out of noggins.
They used to eat oaten meal bread.
The table was let down by the wall when they were done with it.
