    sword until it was made fine. Then the fine flax was put in a small shed for about a week after that it was put out to bleach in the sun. After the flax was bleached it was brought into the house and spun into tread.
    Tanning was also carried on in Tullamore. Leather was made from the hides of cows and horses.
