it takes very little money to buy food for them. Some of the hens lay every second day at certain times of the year. At certain times of the year the hens clock that is they sit on the nest all the time. Then my mother buys a clutch of eggs from a neighbour who has a good breed of hens. Then she gets a box a half fills it with straw.
After arranging the eggs on the straw she gently places the hen on the eggs. The hen brings out the chickens. We have two dogs namely Captain and Rebel. Captain is grey and Rebel is black and white. When anybody in our house whistles the dogs come running to the door.
