    A cure for cancer is forge water. A cure for a whooping cough is a piece of bread got from a woman and her maiden name as the same as (her) her marriage name: for example a girl named Mary Kelly married to a man named Thomas Kelly.
    A cure for a tooth ache is pull a tooth out of a scull found in in a grave yard.
    A cure for a wart is to find a black snail: you must not look for it, rub it on the wart three times and then stick it on a thorn of a gooseberry bush. According as the snail decays the warts do likewise. Another cure for warts is place as many stones as you have warts in a bag by the roadside, and who ever picks up the stones gets the
