  1. There was an old woman, who had a daughter working down below Taghmon.
    She used to go to see her daughter every week.
    Anyhow she went to see her one night and she stayed with her until ten o'clock.
    When the woman came out of the house it was black dark and sure she was afraid to go home.
    She said to herself she would stop in Taghmon.
    When she came to Taghmon every one was gone to bed, so she went on until she came to Killgarvan.
    She saw a light in a house and she went in.
    There was a boy and a girl sitting at the fire. Everyone now and then they used to go down in a room.
    After some time the woman heard a groan in the room and the girl said to the boy begob he is gone.
    The woman found she was at a wake
